Being a host family of a Spanish student is an exceptional opportunity for a month of friendship and fun. In addition to speaking Spanish with a native speaker, learning a foreign language is about the ability to engage with people from another culture. With the Homestay Program your student gets to do just that. With a combination of varied and exciting activities, enthusiastic and engaging Europeans – it’s a truly interactive program that can result in life-long friendships.
Here is a list of the activities your students get to take part in:
Planned L.A. Activities:
- Full day at Universal Studios
- Full day at Magic Mountain.
- Full day of Los Angeles sightseeing
Planned Local Activities:
- 8-day surf camp with SURFINFIRE Surf School in Oceanside (2 half days/wk)**

All admissions and activities are paid for one teen of each host family.
Additional host family teenagers can join at group rates provided there is space on the bus. Host families with an Interactive teen will be responsible for transporting their child to the activities, as transportation is only provided for the visiting student. We are putting together carpools to lessen the need to drive. If a family can’t drive, we’ll find a driver…
Host students do not need to surf, they may choose simply to hang out with the group at the beach. Volleyball and other activities will be provided.
